2027 Camp Costs: TBD (2026 pricing: $450 per Scout)

For 2027, Troop 65 will be attending Summer Camp at Camp Raven Knob near Mt. Airy, NC. We have selected the first session, which is from Sunday, June 20th to Saturday, June 26th, 2027. Camp Raven Knob is widely considered one of the top camps in all of Scouting America, which nearly 1,000 scouts attending each of the six sessions at camp. Raven Knob sits on 3,200 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The camp offers 75 merit badges each week, allowing scouts to build an exciting schedule for their camp.

Below are our key dates along with links to the Camp Raven Website, 2026 Camp Guide and the 2026 Merit Badge Schedule (once 2027 is available, we will update the links). Please take some time and check out the Camp's website and 2026 Program Offering. We will offer a summer camp meeting in January so be sure to stay tuned for more information!

  • Nov 1st: RSVP Deadline
  • Jan 1st: $20 deposit due to Troop 65
  • Feb 1st: $130 first payment due to Troop 65
  • Mar 8th: Merit badge selections due to Mr. Krumbine and Mr. Hall 
  • May 1st: $150 second payment due to Troop 65 ***this amount may change once 2027 fees are announced***
  • Jun 1st: All medical (parts A, B & C) and camp forms as well as copy of insurance card due to Mr. Krumbine and Mr. Hall
  • Jun 15th: Remainder of camp fees due to Troop 65

ANNUAL HEALTH RECORD

Parts A, B & C must be completed and dated with one calendar year. Please note, parents must complete the following:

1. Sign the center box on page 1

2. Complete the list of other adults who are or are not authorized to transport your Scout to and from camp

3. Sign on page 3 to permit either Troop 65 adult leaders or camp health officers to administer medication. Failure to do so will prevent administering even OTC medications such as Tylenol or Advil

4. Fill out the immunization chart (at minimum, tetanus date must be included) or include a printout from your doctor

5. Include a copy of the attendee's insurance card

OLD HICKORY COUNCIL PARENTAL OUTDOOR RELEASE FORM

THIS form must be signed by a parent or guardian for any Scout attending Summer Camp at Camp Raven Knob. Please include when sending in medical forms to Mr. Krumbine and Mr. Hall

Complete this form is your scout has any special dietary needs while at camp. If form is received after June 1st, the camp may not be able to accommodate special diet needs. Please include when sending in medical forms to Mr. Krumbine and Mr. Hall
