Just a quick reminder there is no Troop meeting this week. BUT, please see below for important announcements about the whitewater trip, the meeting on 8/17, service hour opportunities helping the Pack with recruiting

UPDATE WHITEWATER TRIP

OCOEE & NANTAHALA RIVERS

AUGUST 14-16, 2026

Registration for the Whitewater Trip is now closed.

For those signed up, please review the packing list and itinerary between now and the departure date.

We will not be cooking as a patrols on this trip. Instead, breakfasts will be troop-wide on Saturday and Sunday, lunch items will be available for everyone to pack their own and we will have a troop-wide dinner on Saturday night.

NEW MERIT BADGE CLASSES AT CLEMSON UNIVERSITY

CLEMSON, SC

JULY 24-25,2026

Alpha Phi Omega at Clemson University is excited to invite our Scouts to their semi-annual Merit Badge University on Saturday, September 26, 2026!

Merit Badge University allows Scouts to work on merit badges taught by knowledgeable instructors while meeting other Scouts and experiencing Clemson University.

The classes offered this September are: Emergency Preparedness, Engineering, First Aid, Search and Rescue, Space Exploration, Citizenship in the Nation, Family Life, Photography, Sustainability, Weather, Architecture, Citizenship in the World, Environmental Science, Orienteering and Painting. 

Registration is currently open, and over 130 Scouts have already registered! Class sizes are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. You can signup by clicking the button.

VARIOUS BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTS

It's almost time for back to school which means it's also almost time for recruiting new scouts and we need your help! We are looking for Scouts and adults willing to help Pack 65 recruit at local elementary schools at back to school events.

The largest percentage of new Scouts in our Troops come from Cub Scouts who crossover from Pack 65 so helping the Pack recruit is imperative to the future success of our Troops.

We are still waiting for exact dates and times for each school, but if you are willing to help, please  reach out to Mr. Hall.

NEW FALL LEADERSHIP FILING NOW OPEN

DEADLINE TO FILE CANDIDACY: AUG 24TH

FALL ELECTIONS: AUG 31ST

We are just a few weeks away from our next Troop leadership election and we need candidates to fill all our leadership positions. 

If you would like to take on a leadership role for the next six months, please express your interest by completing the form by clicking on the button. The form includes a link to a description of each position in the troop. Reminder, Scouts at First Class or higher need leadership to fulfill rank requirements.

The deadline to file your candidacy is Monday, August 24th. Elections are slated for Monday, August 31st. If you have any questions about the positions or the election, please  reach out to Mr. Hall.

Need a Merit Badge Counselor?

Counselor lists are now available!

Scoutbook only gives registered leaders access to the Merit Badge Counselor lists. However, in an effort to make it easier for everyone, we created this website listing all merit badges with Eagle required highlighted in blue

Don't forget the proper procedure:

• Choose which merit badge you would like to earn
• Contact the counselor
• Speak to Mr. Hall about pursuing this merit badge and obtain a blue card!
